Flat twist

This is a picture of my head... first time I have ever done flat twists, especially on my self...thats hard for my white girl hair! My hair is not course so it slides right out if i don't keep my fingers right next to my scalp. I plan to get better at this and eventually learn corn rows. I've had extensions put in before and loved them, and I have even put some on my self because of lack of options. We don't have enough professionals in Vancouver WA that do extensions, weaves, corn rows etc. I plan that to be a large focus when I become a "Licensed Professional" but for now I'm just trying to learn on my own. I want to be well versed with all hair types as well. In my experience, most of the stylists/hairdressers are some sort of African American, or at least have the course or really curly hair. I know several girls who are just too scared to go into a shop because they think the stylists won't touch their hair cause it's not course enough. When I have time to photograph the steps after I get a little better at it, I'll put up instructions for those who want to try it on their own.
